Matrix PicTAN-Server
The Matrix PicTAN server converts the fingerprints into PicTANs based on the Data-Matrix-Code. The handover of PicTANs occurs on request by the customer (pull). |
Fingerprint Server
The PicTANs are created on the basis of randomised identification numbers for each transaction. This identification number is then transmitted to the trust center as a fingerprint. |
Trust Center
This is where the fingerprints are managed. Moreover, fingerprint verification and fingerprint transaction are carried out here. The Trust Center also deals with communication to cashing systems, dealer authentification as well as receipt / forwarding of replies from the bank back to the merchant. |
Central Connect Server
The system's main interface. This is where the following operations are centralised: customer authentification via call center, Internet, or WAP; maintenance / modification of PicTAN customer data, and hand over / take over of data to and from banks.
Since the conversion is based on the Data-Matrix-Code, the system works with standard components, which by means of innovative software and approved interlinking of secure interfaces allow for maximum security and high transaction rates.
