MobileMonday celebrates successful Hamburg premiere
Since the end of June the world-wide iniative MobileMonday has another home in the Hanseatic city of Hamburg. The Hamburg Chapter of MobileMondays started its work with a panel discussion on ‘Mobile Sports’. The Hamburg-based company Matrix Solutions, which is also one of the co-founders, provided the mobile ticketing for the event.

Mobile Phones Serve as Admission Tickets for MobileMonday Events
Since the end of April, visitors of MobileMonday events are able to use their mobile phones to receive their accreditation. The decision-makers of the mobile phone industry only need to register online to have a so-called PicTicket sent directly to their mobile phones. At the entrance of the venue, the PicTickets are scanned directly from the display of their mobiles and verified immediately.

PicTicket takes off at the Red Bull Flugtag in Rotterdam
The first Red Bull Flugtag took place in the Netherlands last Sunday. HotSMS, one of the leading mobile marketing companies in the Netherlands, relied on the technology provided by PicTicket for this event. This way it was possible to exercise precise control over the number of visitors at Veerhaven, the historic port of Rotterdam. All 12,000 spectators, representing the maximum capacity of the area, were able to order their tickets at www.redbullflugtag.nl. The event was a huge success, with all tickets allocated within a few days. For PicTicket this event marked the largest mobile ticketing operation to date and a successful entry into the Dutch market.
